Projects and Messes

This past weekend Grandma and Grandpa came up to visit (remodel the bathroom) and have a relaxing weekend. There was no relaxing to be had, we worked them to the bone and the result was amazing. Floors and walls were torn apart and then put back together, glue was applied, and paint was rolled. I don't think we took too many pictures with our camera, which is a bummer, but we did get one of Ari enjoying her first bath in the new bathroom.

Along with Ari's new found mobility comes messes. She found a spool of DVD's and had a great time freeing the DVD's across the floor.

Those aren't in grabbing distance anymore.

10 Months

10 MONTHS!!! Ari is getting to the point where she can move around, just not in the traditional ways. Instead of crawling she rotates and hops around while sitting cross legged. She knows what she wants and how to make a point. Her sleeping has improved greatly and she only wakes up a couple times a night now. Usually she wakes up because she is in a sitting position and can't figure out how to lay back down. The other night I walked in while she was whining to find her fast asleep with her back in the corner of her crib. She knew something wasn't right, but it wasn't bad enough to wake her up. I put her back down and she slept right through it.

Here's her 10 month pic taken on her 10 month birthday this time.

She got herself worked in between the recliner and love seat the other day and had fun banging her shoulders against the two pieces of furniture.

We're getting closer to the elusive crawl though. She can stay on her tummy for a little bit longer now and moves backwards instead of forwards, but we're getting closer.

And it is always great to catch a little nap when you can. This was after a night when Daddy's chest was hurting and he didn't sleep very well. Ari is good at making him feel better.

Slacker Parents

Ari turned nine months on December 16 and we are just now posting about it. And, we didn't even take a picture of her on her nine month day. We're slackers, I know. But it is a pretty cute picture and it definitely sums up our nearly 10 month old baby girl. She's turning into a little wrecking crew, but a ton of fun to play with. It's so neat to watch her learn and grow every day!
