Ari @ 4 months/Family Time @ the lake

we're a little late on this one...it's like we're busy or something.
Ari keeps us entertained all hours of the day, but in the morning she is a crack up. She usually wakes up in a great mood (she doesn't get that from mommy or daddy). She still sleeps all swaddled up in a blanket that has Velcro on to make it especially hard for babies to wiggle out of it, but some how she manages. I went in to stir her and found her still out, sleeping while grabbing her feet, all the way out of the swaddle. Unfortunately I couldn't grab the camera in time to get her alseep, but i was still rewarded with this adorable smile.

And she loves to grab things and try to put them in her mouth....like her feet
And mommy's nose. We had our annual trip to the lake with the family, we had a great time and had the whole family there. Ari had a good time too, although she's not too fond of her life jacket, yet. It's still a little big.
It was a really hot weekend, which meant we spent a lot of time swimming in the middle of the lake on the boat. Cousin Jana even jumped in a few times. Here she is on the boat with Corrina.
And these pictures were just too adorable not to share. the pooh had is a little small, but it fit her none the less. Grandpa was taking the pictures and was getting the cutest looks from Ari. I couldn't decide on one.

What's the lake without tubing? i think this is Jenny's leg. You'll be happy to know that she lived.
And Meg getting some air.
And finally, all of the little girls together in their purple. Aren't they cute?

4th of July!

We had a wonderful weekend up at the lake for the 4th of July. Nighttime sounded like a war zone with all the fireworks, other explosives, and hail storm, but as you can see, Ari had no problems sleeping.

or Catching a nap on the beach. or eating dinner with Grandpa Jimbo...the excitement was just too much for her.

Ari's been moving a lot. We took this picture because she managed to completely turn herself sideways, find the sleep sheep to chew on, and wiggle out of her swaddle

We also had 3 4th of July outfits to wear, which wasn't really a problem since we go through at least that many in a day. Here we have the adorable onsie from the east coast.

And 'Red, White & Cute' from auntie C

And 'All American Girl' from our friend Nancy all the way from Chicago.

Ari Movie

We were getting Ari ready for bed tonight and we had a little chuckler. This is the first time she has full on laughed. She usually just sucks air in and no sound comes out when the wind leaves her lungs. Check it out.

Longest Post Ever

We've been slacking on our posting, so we're doing a big catch up post. First of all, Ari got to go on her first plane ride down to Aunt M's bridal shower. She did great and barely made a peep on both flights.

Here she is with Mommy looking at the planes before we boarded our flight.

Looking happy/sleepy on the flight down south.

On the flight back home in our loner Baby Bjorn from Aunt L and Uncle J. (It is a heavenly device by the way)

We didn't take many pictures from M's shower, but here are Ari and Cousin Kara at the shower.

J decorated a train car to tag along with Grandpa's garden railway while the crowd was over for the shower. She was nice enough to pose with her creation.

Here is the car in action.

Just for fun.

Next up on the list is Hoopfest. Spokane is known for hosting the largest 3 on 3 Street Basketball Tournament in the world. Needless to say Mommy enjoys getting together with some of her friends and playing some hoops. The weather over the weekend was flirting with triple digits, so we're just glad that everyone made it through the weekend alive. Ari managed to make it through a total of four games, all in the morning when it was a little cooler. Mommy's team name was AOE for Ari's initials. After a few morning games some friends offered to watch her for a little bit and keep her out of the heat. It was very much appreciated.

Here's Mommy taking it to the hoop.

And here are the second place finishers in their bracket minus one who had to leave.

Here's how Ari and Daddy watched the games. Yes, her hat is over her eyes, she was zonked out for the majority of the time downtown. If anyone remembers the Bloomsday post, she looked very similar to those pictures only bigger.

What's better after a scorching hot day in the sun? A little dip in the pool. We headed over to Great Aunt T's house to take a quick dip in the pool, and Ari got to take her first plungs into a pool. She didn't react at all until it got to her belly, then she let out a weak little wimper and was perfectly content to hang out with Mommy in the pool. She seems to be enjoying all kinds of water so far.

Ari's 3 Months Old

Ari's three month's old! Time is flying by. She sleeps like a rock like Mommy and only wakes up when she's hungry. She is usually in a very good mood and loves to be held before bed time. She has attended more basketball games than many people will attend in a lifetime, and apparently enjoys watching the different colors run up and down the floor. She has made many, many friends by attending all of the basketball games. Daddy is rarely holding her at basketball games. She's so easy going it makes it really easy to travel and cruise around. Who knows how long that will last, but it is pretty nice as we trek all over the city to attend basketball games and other functions.

Here's a nice pick of her little side smile.

Here she is with as cousin Jana calls them, her "friends". She likes to be holding something as she falls asleep so we put a couple extras next to her.

College Day

Ari was gifted a couple Northwest college outfits, one by Grandma and Grandpa, and one by Uncle B and Aunt L. Daddy gets Wednesdays off right now and couldn't resist putting on one of those outfits in the morning.

Ari did what babies do and the Oregon State shirt lasted about three hours. Why stop there when we have another state to represent?

Go Beavs and Huskies!
